For those of you who don't know-
I teach yoga in NYC. One of the classes I teach is called Punk Rock Yoga-
it's not exactly what it sounds like-we do have live music a lot of times, sometimes punk, sometimes, more traditional, sometimes jazz-whatever, but it is a really fun class, very open-minded, and very accepting of everyone who takes the brave step of coming to see what it is for themselves.
As someone who also works with and serves the lwa in my own way, it can be interesting to see how yoga and vodou coalesce and combine in my teaching-Sallie, for those of you who don't know her, is also a devout yogi who uses a lot of yogic techniques in her ceremonies in New Orleans---anyway, I would love to see any of you nyc people in class-
Beginning May 9, class will be every Wed night doors open at 6:30, class at 6:45pm
Cost is $10
location is Champions Dance Studio
257 W. 39th Street (14th Floor)
Please come and add your prana (ashe) to our group---Let's see what kind of change we can create for the ourselves, NYC, and the world!
