    Hi Odokemi,

Regarding reversals, I can really speak more about "traditional" tarot. When reading a traditional tarot deck, the reversals don't necessarily stand in opposition to the upright cards. In some case they do, but not always.

For instance, when getting the "Tower" card reversed I usually see it at a harsher situation than what the upright meaning of the "Tower" suggests. It not only means that everything in the questioner's life is falling apart and collapsing because the foundation on what they built upon wasn't solid and durable, but also that the questioner is refusing to move forward and accept the changes coming. And that creates more frustration and pain.

Another good approach to look at reversals is having the word "re-do" in mind. When a card is reversed it often times means that the questioner needs a different approach to a situation at hand — they need to re-consider their approach, maybe re-think an angle or re-do a certain task they deemed completed.

However, since the Voodoo Tarot is so different from the traditional one that I am usually not reading the cards reversed. I am still learning the meanings and about Voodoo and different Lwa in general. So I am trying to take this experience step by step. :)

What was your experience with reversals so far?

    Blessings,
    Karuna
