I spotted this tribe and thought I would add my 2c
I met Sallie when I was in New Orleans last and apparently she wasnt happy at all with the book that came out with the cards... If you want to get the real full on Sallie version, she sells a book seperately from the cards which you can get directly from her. www.feyvodou.com/
It is far, far superior to the book that comes with the cards and I highly reccomend it to anyone who is interested in this oracle and the Vodou tradtion. For the record- Sallie rocks.

And thanks for this inofrmation. I had no idea that there was any other sources written about this deck. I have taken to using it exclusively, and as someone that is only starting out in learning about Voodoo, I have found some of the text in the accompanying book a little vague as an assistance to using the cards as a tarot. But I am persisting. I have been making my own notes, which may or not be useful [I might post them here] but it is always good to have stronger resources if there are some.
Can I just ask how the book is different from the first one?

Thu, May 3, 2007 - 11:38 AMits completely different. Its much more in depth. its much more in tune with the vibration of the Lwa. Trust me- get yourself a copy. Its pretty amazing. It has all kinds of extra juicy stuff in it. Incantations in english and french, and very evocative writing. Its much less of an 'oracle' (as in, if you pick this card, it means this for your life) and much more of a system for gettting guidance from archetypal energies (as in, if you pick this card try tuning into this energy and it will answer your query). Much more direct information. -

Thu, May 3, 2007 - 1:49 PMThanks Polly. I will definitely check it out and order it. For such a long time, this deck was a mystery to me. But I have really just got stuck in and worked with it lately, and it is beginning to open up to me. You really get out what you put in with this one, which is why I think many tarotists don't bother with it. It is too much like hard work for those who just want to read something straight out of the box.
I hope that there will be more conversations about individual cards here. I am quite new, so really appreciate the knowledge and experience of those that know so much more than I do. But I am trying .. :)
